No, not at this time. This is an opportunity available to one person at a time who effective functions like a roommate who wants to pay a months rent to make a fuck ton of work. It is not a community darkroom or digital workshop.

The program is new enough that I don’t really have bona fides to offer. It may be kinda scrappy, but this is a great opportunity to work with some of the best equipment ever made and make work you can’t make anywhere else, and certainly not in the unbridled way you can here. It may be scrappy, but there’s nothing else like it.

We’ll do a zoom call or two and feel it out. If it turns out to be somewhat of a chafe, well… the residency is fairly short.

Yes, I am well known in the Chicago photo community and I can provide you with plenty of contacts who will vouch for me.

For a variety of reasons, I’m limiting it to just a few months at a time for now, with a minimum of one month.

You should definitely have been in a darkroom before and be well acquainted with photo technique. I know a lot of this stuff is esoteric, inaccessible or some shit I custom made, so I’m happy to teach you that stuff, but I’m generally looking for people with at least some technical inclination. Ultimately, the nature and quality of your work will be the main deciding factor.
